Oracle Health (Cerner) provides FHIR R4 APIs with SMART on FHIR context. Our integration emphasizes read access with optional task creation.

Functional Coverage

• Launch context from PowerChart or Millennium using SMART on FHIR.
• Fetch Observations, Conditions, and Medications for behavioral health reviews.
• Create Task records to remind PCPs about follow-up actions post case review.

Operational Notes

• OAuth tokens expire quickly (5 minutes). We cache encrypted refresh tokens per organization and rotate them eagerly.
• Cerner throttles large queries; we implement adaptive backoff and maintain a sync cursor per resource type.
• Some organizations require HL7 v2 messaging for visit summaries-our notifications dispatcher can fan out both FHIR and HL7 if enabled.

Security

• Partner-specific client secrets are stored in Infisical and never logged.
• All API requests include correlation IDs to tie into Audit Logging.

Cerner onboarding timelines vary; coordinate with Partner Ops early to align change board approvals.
